Since a mommy makeover procedure is a custom set of procedures designed for each unique woman, no two procedures will be exactly alike. That is the wonderful part of this surgery, individualized results for individualized requests. Ultimately, Dr. Downey will help each patient determine if they would benefit from a mommy makeover and help them choose the procedures that would be best for them.
At your one-on-one consultation, you’ll meet with Dr. Downey and her patient care coordinator to discuss all your options and create a customized treatment plan. She will review your health history, do a physical exam, go thru each procedure option step-by-step to create a customized plan and quote just for you. You’ll have ample time to have any questions answered, review any of your concerns and view before and after photos.
At Heights Plastic Surgery your mommy makeover procedure is performed under general anesthesia administered by a board-certified physician anesthesiologist, you will be able to return home the same day as surgery. The surgery will take place in Dr. Downey’s private AAAASF facility which is considered the gold standard in accreditation of free-standing ambulatory surgery centers.
On the day of surgery, she will mark on your body where the incisions will go and thoroughly review her surgical plan with you before anesthesia is administered. For you the surgery will happen in a blink of an eye, but most mommy makeover surgeries take between 2 – 6 hours.
When you wake up from surgery you will be monitored in a recovery room by our caring and knowledgeable staff until you are released to a loved one for transportation home to continue to recover.
We will see you back in-office usually 24 to 72 hours after surgery to ensure you are healing well and see you for weekly visits until 6 weeks post-op, when you are typically released to return to all activities.
