Turn your frown upside down with Radiesse®. This calcium-based dermal filler will help you restore your youthful appearance for years to come. Board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Cara Downey, and her expert team of professionals are proud to offer Radiesse® to residents of Houston, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, and the neighboring communities in east Texas.
What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is a calcium-based volumizing dermal filler that provides long-lasting and natural results by immediately restoring lost volume. While most patients look to get Radiesse® to fill in their laugh lines, this specialized dermal filler is also popularly used to add volume to sunken areas of the face, like the cheeks, and to restore a youthful appearance to the lower face. What makes Radiesse® different from other dermal fillers like Juvéderm® and Restylane® is its ability to help stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen, making it one of the longest-lasting fillers on the market. Patients who receive Radiesse® injections typically see their results for up to two years at a time.
How Much Does Radiesse® Cost in Houston, TX?
The average cost of your Radiesse® treatment in Houston typically starts at about $650. The total cost for your Radiesse® treatment will depend on factors including the amount of product needed to help you achieve your desired results. At Heights Plastic Surgery, we accept cash and all major credit cards. We are also happy to offer financing through CareCredit® for patients. Because Radiesse® is often more about cosmetic appearance and is less of a medical necessity, it is typically not covered by most insurance plans.
How is Radiesse® Performed?
Radiesse® is an in-office procedure that typically takes about 45 minutes to complete. Before your Radiesse® treatment begins, Dr. Downey will apply a topical anesthetic to your treatment areas. This is to ensure you are as comfortable and pain-free as possible throughout the entirety of your treatment. Dr. Downey will then make a series of strategically placed Radiesse® injections into your desired treated areas, typically around the mouth, chin, and cheeks. Because Radiesse® is a minimally invasive procedure, there is no formal downtime or recovery period associated with treatment.
What Results Can I Expect from Radiesse®?
Because Radiesse® is a minimally invasive treatment, patients are able to return to their normal daily activities – including work – immediately following treatment. It is normal to experience some redness, swelling, tenderness, and bruising around your treated areas. These side effects will typically subside on their own within 24 to 48 hours of treatment. While you may see some results of your Radiesse® treatment immediately, ultimate results will be visible about two to five days following treatment, once all swelling has gone down. Radiesse® treatments typically last for up to 18 to 24 months at a time. Dr. Downey may recommend coming in for regular Radiesse® treatments every 18 months to maintain your desired results.
