Taylor Griffin, BSN, RN – Nurse Injector

Taylor has been a registered nurse for 3 years, and a full-time practicing aesthetic provider since early 2022. Taylor completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas Health Science Center in 2020. Prior to becoming an aesthetic nurse injector, Taylor worked at Houston Methodist Hospital, deepening her clinical knowledge in order to holistically care for her patients. Taylor is now a certified Master Injector by top aesthetic companies Allergan, Galderma & Revance. She receives regular continuing education to remain on the cutting edge of new innovations & research in aesthetic medicine. She has undergone multiple in-depth injection trainings with top injectors across the country.

Taylor’s strong passion for beauty & wellness, paired with her deep intrigue for facial anatomy, brought her to specialize in aesthetic nursing. Taylor is known for her thorough, patient-focused consultations and precise, individualized injection techniques. She prides herself in fostering a trusting relationship with her patients and creating natural yet transformative results using a conservative approach. Taylor is committed to collaborating with her patients in creating a customized treatment plan to reach one’s aesthetic goals, providing both immediate and long-term quality outcomes. Taylor specializes in wrinkle-relaxers (Dysport, Daxxify, Botox, Xeomin), Hyaluronic Acid fillers to balance & restore one’s facial features, biostimulators (Sculptra, PRP), and collagen-induction therapy (SkinPen microneedling, Vivace microneedling with radio-frequency). Taylor also has extensive knowledge on our medical-grade skincare products, ZO Skin Health and Alastin, which she believes to be foundational to a refreshed appearance.

Melissa Flanagan, Licensed Medical Aesthetician & Certified Laser Specialist

Melissa has been a practicing aesthetic provider since 2021. Melissa completed her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Texas Tech University in 2000. She graduated from the premier aesthetics program at the Institute of Cosmetology and Esthetics in 2021. She receives regular continuing education and has extensive knowledge in medical-grade skin care treatments and products.  Her specialties include Hydrafacials, chemical peels, and Skin Pen microneedling. Melissa truly cares about her patients and is passionate about helping them transform their skin for the better.

Megan Martell joined Studio Essex Medical Spa in 2023 as Operations Manager. She received her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk!). Megan has over 11 years’ experience in aesthetic practice management and marketing. She has served on several advisory boards for leading aesthetic brands, as well as, served as Head Chair for the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons – Nurse Injector Program 3 years in a row. Outside of work Megan enjoys spending time with her family. She has played on a recreational sand volleyball team since 2016.

Cynthia is the manager of our AAAASF certified operating room facility – Upper Heights Surgery Center. Her credentials are elaborately immersed in a variety of modalities of the perioperative setting.

Cynthia brings greater than 20 years of experience in the operating room. She has designed and orchestrated the ultimate operative theater and recovery suites to complement the luxury atmosphere for aesthetic surgery. Upper Heights Surgery Center is compliant with and regulated by the standard of the most stringent surgery center regulatory agency – AAAASF.

Sirena is our patient care coordinator. She was born and raised in California. She started working in dermatology aesthetics in 2018 and then transitioned into facial plastics in Newport Beach. Since then, she has relocated to Houston to continue to grow in the field of aesthetics and plastic surgery. On her free time, Sirena enjoys time with her two boys and exploring her vibrant new city of Houston.

Maria is our Medical Assistant. She is a certified Phlebotomist and Laser Hair Technician. Maria has over 8 years of experience in the medical field. She has excellent time management skills and communication skills help her to assist every patient with a personalized approach. She is very excited to be a part of the Heights Plastic Surgery team!

Franshezca is our social media and marketing coordinator. She graduated with honors and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Communications from the University of Houston. She brings over four years of customer service in the beauty industry and experience in social media analytics. Mya Odom joined Studio Essex Medical Spa in 2023 as a front desk coordinator with experience in aesthetics. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she went to school for a Bachelor’s in Business Management where she played collegiate volleyball. She has always loved all things revolving around health, beauty, and wellness and is grateful to be apart of the industry.

Allysa is one of our front desk coordinators that helps organize the front of the house and is our patients’ first point of contact. She has always been passionate about all thing’s beauty, aesthetics and fashion. She is continuously learning and is currently going back to school for nursing and medical aesthetics and is constantly striving to improve her skills. Allysa enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling to new places all over the globe, and trying new restaurants in Houston.

Julie received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington. She has over six years of nursing experience in various fields such as oncology, surgical services, and the float pool. Julie is very thankful to transition into plastic surgery and is embracing her role as Perioperative Nurse.

Brittany received her Associate’s degree in Biology from San Jacinto College along with a degree in Surgical Technology. She is a licensed Medical Assistant and Certified Phlebotomy Technician. Brittany has over 10 years of experience in surgery including labor and delivery and neurosurgery.
