Xeomin® in Houston, TX
Stop worrying about your frown lines and start focusing on what really matters. Xeomin® can help smooth away your fine lines and “action wrinkles” for a refreshed, rejuvenated appearance. Board-certified plastic surgeons, Dr. Cara Downey and Dr. Jamal Bullocks, and their expert team of professionals are proud to offer Xeomin® to residents of Houston, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, and the neighboring communities in east Texas.
What is Xeomin®?
Xeomin® is an injectable cosmetic treatment similar to Botox® and Dysport® that smooths away fine lines and wrinkles caused by repeated facial expressions. Made from the same active ingredients as other injectable treatments, Xeomin® is a wonderful solution to help our patients get rid of the frown lines between their brows, crow’s feet, lines across the forehead, and bunny lines along the bridge of the nose. Many of our patients prefer Xeomin® because it does not contain any extra additives, limiting the chances of having an adverse reaction following treatment.
How Much Does Xeomin® Cost in Houston, TX?
The total cost for your Xeomin® treatment will depend on the amount of product needed to help you achieve your desired results. At Heights Plastic Surgery, we accept cash and all major credit cards. We are also happy to offer financing through CareCredit® for patients. Because Xeomin® is often more about cosmetic appearance and is less of a medical necessity, it is typically not covered by most insurance plans.
How is Xeomin® Performed?
Xeomin® is an in-office procedure that typically takes about 45 minutes to complete. Before your Dysport® treatment begins, Dr. Downey or Dr. Bullocks will apply a topical anesthetic to your treatment areas. This is to ensure you are as comfortable and pain-free as possible throughout the entirety of your treatment. Dr. Downey or Dr. Bullocks will then make a series of strategically placed Xeomin® injections into your desired treated areas, typically around the forehead, brows, upper bridge of the nose, and outer eyes. Because Xeomin® is a minimally invasive procedure, there is no formal downtime or recovery period associated with treatment.
What Results Can I Expect from Xeomin®?
Because Xeomin® is a minimally invasive treatment, patients are able to return to their normal daily activities including work immediately following treatment. It is normal to experience some redness, swelling, tenderness, and bruising around your treated areas. These side effects will typically subside on their own within 24 to 48 hours of treatment. While you may see some results of your Xeomin® treatment immediately, ultimate results will be visible about five to seven days following treatment, once the active ingredients in Xeomin® have had time to take effect. Xeomin® treatments typically last for up to four to six months at a time. Dr. Downey and Dr. Bullocks may recommend coming in for regular Xeomin® treatments every three to four months to maintain your desired results.
