How does chin surgery work?

Before your chin implant surgery begins, we will administer a general anesthetic. This is to ensure you are as comfortable and pain-free as possible throughout the entirety of your procedure. Dr. Downey or Dr. Bullocks will then make a small incision on the inside of the mouth between the bottom lip and gums, or on the underside of the chin. Through this incision, we will carefully place the soft, chin implant. Once the chin implant is in its correct position, Dr. Downey or Dr. Bullocks will stitch up your incisions and bandage your surgical area. The entire surgical procedure typically takes between 30 minutes and one hours to complete.
